Literature Text

Slowly and silently, the sun falls away from the sky, leaving stars in its place. A wave of deep blue rolls gently across the atmosphere, and it is night. A faint breeze begins to blow from the west, as if protesting feebly to the dying of the light. Tall emerald grass dances lazily in response. Gracefully, a young girl rises to her feet and stares at the scene. Her cobalt eyes reflect the stars, and secretly the girl knows that the night is alive.

Without warning, the girl runs – just because she can. She closes her eyes and falls into a familiar pattern. She knows she won't fall. As the girl runs, she lets her fingers brush the silky grass. The cool air weaves intricate waves into her hair behind her, and the fresh breeze catches on her dress like a sail. The girl stops running and listens. Her own breathing is thunderous in her ears. Her heart beats rapidly. The girl feels alive.
Short little piece. :juggle:
